Take your pick from our list of beautiful meandering rivers, set in verdant valleys, and tranquil lakes in Brittany. Couetilliec Cottages are nestled between the Scorff and Blavet valleys. You can follow the course of the stream ‘ruisseau de Saint-Vincent’ running near Couetilliec’s southern boundary to the river Scorff (4.5km), then follow the Scorff via the ‘Sentier des Sources à l’Océan’ to Brittany’s south coast, circa 65km! Another local river ‘la Sarre’ has been described as a haven for the European otter and identified as as reintroduction site for the European freshwater mussel.
